Born and raised in Massachusetts, Rick attended Aeronautics Program in Boston, becoming a federally licensed Air Craft Mechanic in 1984. Shortly thereafter he migrated to California and went to work for United Airlines at the San Francisco International Airport as a Flight Line Mechanic. After 18 years at United Airlines living in San Francisco and Marin County, Rick was drawn to the wilderness and lifestyle of the Mt Shasta area.

In June 2003 Rick, his wife Amy Cooper and their two daughters, Julia and Iyla, moved to Mt. Shasta. Rick joined Buzz and Jennifer Knight & sons and the construction team at TimberWorks as a co-owner. For 10 years he coordinated many of the construction details for large-scale commercial and multi-family residential projects throughout Siskiyou County from start to finish. These projects included work for CalTrans, the US Forest Service, Siskiyou County, Mt. Shasta City, Eskaton and the Hearst Foundation. The Lake Siskiyou Bridge is their most visible project locally as it completed the popular trail around Lake Siskiyou.

After 10 years in construction management, Rick decided to follow his passion and interest in real estate and became a licensed California Real Estate Agent. He joined the team at Century 21 Advantage, mentored by his sister, Nancy Schneider. I was born on Maui and spent the first 12 years of my life there. In 1988, my mother moved me back to her hometown. I have called Mt. Shasta my home ever since. I attended the local schools and graduated from Mt. Shasta High School in 1994. In 1999, I graduated from Simpson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Human Resources. In 2000, I married my husband, Jason. We have 5 sweet and energetic children!

I started my real estate career in 2001. Two years later I received my real estate license. Real estate has been a perfect fit raising a busy family.

I love the South county area having lived in here for many years attending College of the Siskiyou’s and raising my two children. At this point in my life I look forward to meeting new people as well as helping all of my loyal clients realize their Real Estate dreams.

I have lived in Siskiyou County for most of my life and plan to stay here and keep enjoying the surrounding mountains, lakes and multitude of natural areas. In my spare time you could find me either riding one of my three horses, hiking with my dogs, photographing any thing that catches my interest or just sitting and taking in the view from my home in Shasta Valley.

My Real Estate knowledge and expertise comes from over eleven years of experience helping people buy and sell homes and have become quite familiar with the challenges involved in buying or selling real estate. Spending nearly ten years working for the U.S. forest service determining boundary lines between private and government land, has helped me be one of the few Realtors in Siskiyou County that can claim extensive knowledge of rural property and large acreage properties.
